A Sense of Place.
Putnam Heights is launching A Sense of Place, a capital campaign dedicated to preserving and enhancing the character of our historic neighborhood. Your contribution will help fund two key initiatives:
$20,000 for new signage at our entrance markers
$10,000 for a five-year fund to maintain and beautify our trees
To make giving easy, we’ve created several six-month contribution plans at different support levels. Each plan allows you to spread your commitment evenly across six months while helping us reach our goals together.
Choose the level that best represents your commitment to the neighborhood and join us in strengthening the sense of place that makes Putnam Heights special.

New Emblems & Unified Identity
We are replacing the historic brick entrance markers that were stolen with durable cast stone. This restoration allows us to unify our branding by updating the font to one that is historically appropriate for the early 1900s. This cohesive typeface will become the official font across all Putnam Heights branding—from the new markers to our website and signage to clearly define our district.
Tree Care Initiative
We are launching a multi-year project to maintain our established tree canopy. We are seeking a qualified arborist for a phased plan to prune and treat all median trees.
Initial Phase: The arborist will assess and catalog all trees, then address those with the highest, critical need.
Subsequent Phases: Remaining trees will be systematically maintained over the subsequent years to complete the 5-year plan.
This is a vital, long-term investment to ensure our beautiful, mature trees thrive for generations to come.

Our kick-off officially began at the Annual Meeting on November 10th, 2025 where we launched the "A Sense of Place" campaign.
Right now, we are in a critical funding period, calling on all neighbors to help us achieve our ambitious goal: to be fully funded by the end of March 2026.
Reaching this milestone by spring will immediately unlock key projects. In Spring 2026, we plan to start fabricating and installing the new cast stone entry markers that will feature our new, durable, and historically appropriate sign faces. Simultaneously, we will launch Year 1 of our 5-year Tree Care Plan, hiring an arborist to begin the crucial initial assessment and critical care for our most at-risk median trees.
This journey is a long-term investment in our future, ensuring our entry markers, unified identity, and magnificent tree canopy are secure for generations to come.

The restoration of our historic entrance markers is serving as the catalyst for a comprehensive update to the entire Putnam Heights brand and identity!
The new, durable cast stone markers will proudly feature a typeface that is historically appropriate for our neighborhood’s early 1900s era. This chosen font will become the official, unified standard for all communications moving forward.
This effort ensures everything associated with Putnam Heights reflects our esteemed status as a Historic District:
Website: A new look and feel to showcase our community.
Letterhead: Professional materials that communicate our historic elegance.
Communications: A consistent, recognizable, and high-quality feel across all newsletters and digital platforms.
